Anastasia’s Answer

It is certainly easier to organize work using a computer suite than I image it would be using file cabinets and folders. Although, I'm not far removed from a time when documents were safely filed in cabinets and folders, I currently rely on productivity apps in Google Workspace to plan and organize my work. Features in Google Workspace, like the Calendar, allow others to see view my availability before reaching out to collaborate and delivers reminders of upcoming meetings. Google Drive is a Workspace feature that allows me to create folders for different projects. These digital folders house important documents that I can share with my peers, use for tracking, note-taking, etc. If you forget where a folder is housed or what it may be titled/labeled, you can quickly search through folders using keywords. So, because all of this is housed in one online suite, I save time, and trouble, organizing my work with this type of computer application. Hope this helps!

Hi Shant! I would suggest if you are doing school work and other stuff on your computer to create folders for each class. If you have more than one drive I would partition your drives and choose which drive you want to store work on. Also I would look into one drive it can save you a lot of hard disk space to save files to the cloud.

It can be if you take the necessary steps and stay on top of it. I would consider looking into 2 applications. One is called One Note.
Its basically a digital notebook that automatically saves and syncs your notes as you work.
You can type directly in it or insert it from other apps and web pages. it has highlighting and tags for easy follow-up.
Share notebooks to collaborate with others. This website will show more.

Smart Sheets is another option, however I have not used it myself but have heard good things. Here is the description:
Smartsheet is a software as a service offering for collaboration and work management, developed and marketed by Smartsheet Inc. It is used to assign tasks, track project progress, manage calendars, share documents, and manage other work, using a tabular user interface.

Shameka’s Answer

Hi Shane!!! Yes it is easy, first thing you need to do is create a least of items that are the "Most important to the least". From there you create google drives for organization and also save items to your desktop. Make sure to make use of all the different apps you have, if you are using chrome. "Collections" in chrome is a neat tool to organize different web pages and links for your ease and comfort.

Brett’s Answer

Organizing on my computer is the best way to keep my files all intact. One place that I have found to save my files would be in Google Drive. In our world today where everyone works from home and face to face interactions are limited, I used google docs for my notes and allow others to comment on them. This way the conversation is real time and it eliminates emails for everyone. Hope this helps.

Annika’s Answer

It really just depends on your preferences. I’m a hard copy person, so I scan everything and file the hard copy. So I use both (hard copy version for personal use and electronic for others).

Brianna’s Answer

Yes! Organizing files on my computer have definitely saved me a lot of time when I need to refer back to a document or paperwork. It gives me a peace of mind as well, being able to actually see my desktop background image instead of the multiple files that are covering. I think staying organized can also boost morale in being more productive, as you can easily find things.

Honestly, this is a problem that I had. I learned that it's best to organize your work with different folders! Then you can group folders together too.
