There are no right answers, because many schools offer great psychology programs! Research what the specific schools you are looking for have to offer in terms of resources and extracurriculars pertaining to your major.

If you'd like to stay in the midwest, both the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the U of MN have very strong psychology departments. You would have ample opportunities to get involved with psychology research which can be good experience to have when applying to graduate programs.

Hi Allie,
A great way to determine that is just checking out the course catalog and seeing if the major has a lot of classes you are interested in. I do not think where you get your undergraduate degree will matter as much as the graduate degree, passing boards, and experience, but if you find a school that has classes that are interesting to you or professors whose research interest you, that can be a great place of learning! Good luck!
