Hector,
You might research local community colleges or vocational schools. Some of these offer courses and certifications in diesel mechanics with shortened school times so you can be trained and certified quickly. One that I am familiar with that offers a diesel technology program is South Plains College in Levelland, Texas. I know multiple people who have gone through the program there and are doing very well as local diesel mechanics.

Hector,
The US Army is an option to learn to be a diesel mechanic. They have specialty training for career paths. You go thru standard boot camp and then there are levels of schooling that you train in for different specialties. Military service is a good path for a lot of reasons. Have you taken the ASVAB test yet?
Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery test is given to all who want to enlist in a service. It will help the service determine if you have potential for different jobs. Google how to prepare for the ASVAB Test and contact a recruiting station of one of the services to see when you could take the tests. They often come to highschools and offer the test to graduating seniors.
The other option is to attend Wyotech in Laramie Wyoming. Will cost you real money but it can be worth it. My nephew went there about 15 years ago and he is doing great. Making over $100,000/ year working in the offshore oilfield business. Remember there are a lot of businesses other than just trucks that use diesel fired and natural gas fired engines for a variety of applications.
