Is it easier to find a job in Canada with a college diploma or a university degree?

I'm an international student just came to Canada and have a lot of curiosity about my future. I've heard that people have a diploma are easier to find a regular job in office than people have a degree. #any

Adrienne’s Answer

In an office environment, there are a variety of roles. Some require a college degree while others do not. However, most require at least a high school diploma. In my experience, most offices highly value a college education and it is recommended. Plus, most offices would also like to see experience with Microsoft Office (excel, PowerPoint, and Word).

Thank you comment icon Well, because I've heard from some of my friends that there are a number of companies just hire people with college diploma instead university degree to reduce money they have to pay for their employees.! Thanks anyway! Anh Tuan
Thank you comment icon Yes, that is the case in the US as well. It's important to read the job requirements of any job you apply to to make sure you're qualified. However, don't lose hope! I know many people who have office jobs in the US and Canada without any college education. Adrienne Campos, M.Ed.
Thank you comment icon thank you! Anh Tuan

It depends on the Job you are applying to and the requirements of that Job. Work experience can be compensated for lack of education background. College programs are usually shorter than a University Degree and would provide more opportunity to enter the workforce earlier.
