Raquel’s Answer

Hello! I'm a registered nurse and there is never a shortage of jobs for nurses, especially right now! There are so many different areas that nurses can work in including home health, mental health, therapy clinics, outpatient doctors offices, and of course in the hospital. Hospitals right now are especially understaffed with nurses which makes it providing high quality, safe care more difficult.

Harvey’s Answer

Hello JaRon,
I completely understand where you're coming from when you have thoughts like these. Sometimes, after your classes, you think that you just have too much free time. You could try to take harder classes. Maybe the classes or the work that you are doing is not challenging yourself enough. You could even try picking up a job or take some extracurriculars.

Another great use of your time would be to find joy in hobbies. Given that you seem to have much free time outside of your work, you could pick up something fun like cooking, painting, or some form of exercise like weight lifting or rock climbing. The activity doesn't really matter as long as you really do enjoy it and do not feel like you are wasting your time.

Sarah’s Answer

What makes an employee good vs great is being able to self-identify things that need to be done and starts them proactively vs waiting to be told what to do. When you are not getting enough work from your manager, find something to start proactively. There are always more problems to solve then there is time to solve them.

Alexus’s Answer

Hi JaRon,

I am a chef and I believe there is more than enough for work. Food is something the people never want to lack. Once you learn and perfect the art of your goal and make great impressions, people will be looking for you. I know other chefs and we have different clientele but everyone has jobs, events, etc.
