George’s Answer
There is a HUGE RANGE of salaries available in construction trades.
Start could be at minimum wage for unskilled labor.
Add education, training, skills, experience, your own business, specialty & high demand trades, state license, bonded, insured, business experience & relationships, marketing, reputation, employ other highly skilled trades people in teams, ...a person should be well into the six-figure range.
The more you bring to the table, and the harder you work, all the more you can make.

This is a great question. The possibilities here are endless. You can get an entry level job paying minimum wage or own a construction company, which can be very lucrative! There are a ton of examples of folks that have started at entry-level and learned the business - whether it's residential construction, business construction or road construction - then started their own company and done very well. Don't think about where you start in a job, try to think about your long term happiness in any job/industry.
