Hi Carlos! Are you actually looking for statistics related to cardiologist’s peer groups or do you simply want to know what kind of people cardiologists surround themselves with? I have worked in cardiology for many years, both as an EKG tech and most recently as a cath lab nurse. While at work, cardiologists spend the most time with their staff and colleagues. Outside of work they typically hang out with their families. They are kinda like normal people 😁. I hope this helps

The cardiologist that I knew were always at the hospital. You asked an interesting question. I don't like to stereotype but it does seem like different specialties have different personality traits. The cardiologist seems to be a nice group with a calm demeanor. They do work a lot. My guess is that when they have free time they go home to their family.

Hey Carlos, I am not a cardiologist but from what I've learned as a psychology major, people tend to hang out with people they spend the most time with. If you're spending all your time in the classroom with the other aspiring cardiologist, there is a good chance that you'll befriend some of them as well. The more time we spend around people, the more opportunity there is for interaction and potential friendship.

This doesn't mean that you're limited to ONLY being friends with cardiologist though; it just means that you might need to put yourself in situations that allow you to meet a diverse set of people. This can be extracurriculars, meet ups, becoming a regular at your local coffee shop.

None of my friends work in the same field as I do and that makes conversations so much more interesting.
