what is the hardest task of being an animator?

I'm researching special, effects artist and animator. They create special effects or animations using film, video, computers, or other electronics animation to make a character feel real and alive in a way.

I'm not a professional animator, but I have dabbled quite a bit. I'd say one of the hardest things to animate would be speech. Sure these days there are more and more motion capture tools to help out. But, I'd still say that would be one of the tougher areas to get right.

Timing is very important. Some have it naturally, some need time to learn it. Character animation is very complex compared to technical animation. Maybe the best thing to learn timing is to try to animate just one exercise frame by frame on paper like in old days and once you go back to the computer you should see huge improvements.
