How do i become a Speech Language Pathologists?
What type of college comes with this career? What type of company advancements should i look for? What degree should I earn to be most qualified for speech pathology? Is there an online course for this field?

I think you have to go to graduate school and get a two year masters for speech pathology. For this you first need a bachelors and probably some prerequisite courses such as English, Math, and Science.

First you’ll need an undergrad degree, with some specific prerequisites; if you can find an undergrad SLP program, then you won’t have to take any prereqs separately before your master’s.
But, make sure you also sit down and think about the TYPE of work you want. I love the clinical work with people, but the paperwork side of things is a lot, and organizing/managing all that is not a strength for me. Learn what you can about the actual workload and type of work so you’ll know if it’s going to be a really good match to your skills and preferences.

Hello Amanda,
The career advisor’s answers are correct. A degree in SLP requires a Master’s degree with the proper certification and license to practice. I would strongly suggest job shadowing a practicing Speech and Language pathologist to see if this career meets your goals.
