Dorian’s Answer

I go to school at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. There are a few different programs that go towards what you are looking for. The recording arts degree is clearly the one you would go for. If you do what I choose, music production, you not only learn how to do the some recording arts stuff but you also learn advanced music theory. So you can be a full-on be a songwriter and then record everything yourself. The only problem is school is very expensive. You get to keep all the equipment you get and programs, which cost hundreds of dollars.

Chris’s Answer

Where you go to school would depend on what career path you are seeking.
But as a previous poster said, school won't make you a successful artist... Getting involved and networking, gigging, being a part of the scene is as or more important.
