Agree with all the above. My two cents there is huge demand for healthcare support jobs especially in healthcare IT field such as IT project management EMR(Epic or Cerner certifications) etc.

There are so many different jobs and career paths in the medical field, so answering that question is really difficult! While it's true that as a physician (MD or DO), on average you would earn the most money, becoming a doctor is a long road fraught with significant obstacles, many years of school, hard work, long hours and a heavy burden of responsibility that never goes away event when you're at home. If you're really dedicated and excited by the work it could all be worth it, but doing it just for the money or prestige is a sure way to be miserable!
If being a doctor doesn't necessarily seem like it's for you, there are many highly rewarding career paths that are still highly in demand like being a physician's assistant , nurse, respiratory therapist, radiology technologist, clinical administrator and many more. Medicine today is all about a collaborative effort, and everyone has an important role to play.

A doctor (M.D.) will be the highest paying, most prestigious, and likely most interesting job in the medical field, but it requires a lot of schooling. Physician's Assistant and Pharmacist can also be very rewarding/well paying jobs in the medical field that don't require as much debt/time in school.

Agree with the above, but if you don't want to go to graduate school, nurses are always in demand. You can start with an associate's degree. There are also medical technology professions like sonographer, medical lab technician and physical therapy technician that require less college.

In my opinion, my field of radiology is the best.

Radiology is an exciting and dynamic field. For me personally, the procedures are the most exciting. For example, we recently introduced Y-90 radioembolization at our hospital. This provides a new opportunity to treat liver cancers and prolong lives.

Besides all the suggestions from others here, I can tell you that working in the pharmaceutical industry can be very rewarding for a doctor. I love the fact that I'm bringing new medicines to patients with diseases for which there are no treatments before! Physicians are in high demand in jobs related to drug discovery, clinical trial design and medical affairs which is the team of physicians who work with leaders in the field to understand what patients can benefit the most from new medicines, as well as with the FDA to get new medicines approved.
These are only a few examples.
There are many other options including safety monitoring, medical education, and others
All the best!!
