Hey Jalen,

I know it's easier said than done, but I would really make sure you enjoy your senior year. My son is also going to be a senior this year and is applying to colleges soon, but I keep stressing to him the importance of living in the moment. Don't think so much about what comes next that you forget to be present in the now. You've been working hard for three years and this year is all about you and your accomplishments. Regardless of what you plan to do after high school, finish strong this year with your grades, with your friends and family.

You'll find the path that's right for you, and it might take a few redirects to get there. So just learn from every situation and make sure you are allowing some time to enjoy this last year of high school. Have some fun. Do the things that bring you joy. Exciting things are coming your way so enjoy the here and now as much as you can.

I hope you have a wonderful senior year!

Molly

Hi Jalen! I understand how the situation can feel to a student who is at this crucial stage. I'll say, regarding pressures, try to organize all your school work. When work is disorganized and messy, it can add to the stress. On the other hand, organization gives off a calming vibe and a clearer view.

If the pressure is because you are having a hard time with any subject or part of your life, share it with a family member or friend. Oftentimes, the people who know us the best also know the solutions that might just be what we need :)

Take care!

Matthew’s Answer

Senior year of high school should be one of your most fun years of your life! you are getting ready to go to college and enjoying your last year of high school. Although the pressure is on to finish strong and get into school/choose your school, but it should be a time you use to enjoy the last year of school with your friends. Balance life and friends with school and work, and when you find that happy medium you will start to really enjoy your senior year!

Best of Luck!!!

Thank you for the questions.
We can understand that the syllabus will become more advanced and you may have more assignments & projects. The best thing can help to s time management.
Apart from school time, you can assign the time to finish the assignment and revise the class material everyday after school. If you have anything not clear, ask the teacher the next day. Don’t pile it up.
On the other hand, make sure you have enough time for sleep and do some exercise every day if possible.
Prepare the assessment and examination early. You can consider to form study group with your classmates. Discussions can help you deepen your understanding.
Relax! Keep some time for leisure.
Hope this helps! Good Luck!

Jovany’s Answer

Hi Jalen!

I think senior year is what you want to make it. Some people like to put pressure on themselves to ensure they learn the most from their capstone classes and others take a more leisurely approach. Balancing is what becomes difficult, but I believe in your ability to learn how to balance it.

If it ever becomes too unbalanced that you feel uncomfortable just keep on shifting back and forth. You'll find a sweet spot :)

Have a great senior year!

Priya’s Answer

Hi Jalen, try and take breaks between all the tasks you have and remember this is only one part of your journey. I was under tons of stress in my senior year so I know from my experience it can be hard. Try and enjoy things as well as getting things done, and ask your guidance counselor or trusted adults for help along the way.

Haxhere’s Answer

Hi Jalen,
So
Try to do the best that you can, and don't be stressed.
I know actually because I am having the same feelings truly, you're working for a new beginning, for a better future but don't forget to live the moment,
I mean just stop for second writing the cover letter or whatever and get your backpack to go to your favorite cafe to drink your favorite coffee,
read a book, listen to your favorite song (that can save you from Vecna :D), run home...
All I mean do something fun and forget the future for one min.

Have the best senior year!

Atul’s Answer

By the senior year, you already have taken SAT and written essays for the college/univ and applied for the school where you want to go.
Most students waste their time ignoring courses in the senior year while you want to remained focus just like you did it in previous 3 years.
Remember - it is your all four years of high school grades that count and not just senior year.
If you did not have pressure last 3 years, why should you have it now.

Sikawayi’s Answer

Hello Jaylen, great question. There will always be stress in your life especially when you're in high school, first of all I would suggest you meet with your guidance counselor check and see how many credits you need to graduate. If you need 3 and your taking 5 classes, ask him/her which classes you can drop. you can get a job or work as a volunteer These are the kinds of activities that server as distractions for you, best of luck.
