Veterinary schools have very specific admission requirements. Make sure you consult the website for the veterinary schools to which you are planning to apply. Figure out if there are any courses that are not offered at your undergraduate institution, and talk with your school counselor about how you can take those classes through an inter-college exchange program of some sort. I had to do this in order to take animal science classes, because I went to a liberal arts college. In general, the requirements will include some basic biology and chemistry. Many schools also have an animal science requirement. After you have figured out what courses you must take, then concentrate on meeting the requirements to graduate from your undergraduate school, and then with your remaining credit hours, explore any courses that seem like they might be fun, exciting, or teach you something new! College is the time to explore!
