Q3: I guess based off my words, what do you think will be a good major for me in the science field?
Hi, my name is Miracle and I’m about to start college in the fall, but I’m not sure what to major in and I was hoping that having a scientist answer my questions then that might give me some insight on what to major in. I know these aren’t ideal questions, but I’ve always loved science and science fiction in general, and I want to be a scientist and , I just don’t know what scientist to be. I want my career to be fulfilling and have purpose and to see my work help people. Thank you for your time.

I would look up different science fields--hard sciences and soft sciences. I think whatever seems most appealing to you will help guide you better than someone else's views :) we all base our views in what works for us as individuals--it may not be the same for you! Good luck!

I am not sure that I can tell you what may work for you. I would want to know the answer this question first - what is it that is interesting to you about science fiction? I know when I am watching Science Fiction shows, I am always looking at the way they imagine the future of innovation, like the ships, televisions, etc. I love astronomy. I am always thinking about how we as humans will get into outer space. Again, my focus is on the creation of tools to get us there, what the dangers might be, etc. Once you think about what you think about, consider how you may fit into that world? Are you a doctor, engineer, pilot? What skills would that role need? Then you can find out what skills are needed for that role and then you will find your science focus.

You should look into becoming a Clinical Laboratory Scientist. This career falls into the Biology/ Medical Technology major. It is such a fun yet rewarding field because you are analyzing patient samples using microscopes and other cool laboratory technology. The results you get helps the doctor diagnose and treat the patient.
The videos in this link show a review of what a CLS/MLT is https://www.med.unc.edu/healthsciences/clinical/about-us/what-is-laboratory-science/
Good luck!
