Amina’s Answer

Animation is a great field to consider if you spend a lot of time drawing. A four year degree from art and design program would be enough schooling. Considering the popularity of animation, most art and design programs at universities will have a specific animation major. You could also consider majoring in illustration and take animation classes as electives to see if you're interested before committing.

Jaime’s Answer

There are both 4-year and 2-year programs as well as more basic or general certificate programs. The DAVE (Digital Animation & Visual Effects) School is actually located on the backlot of Universal Studios in Florida. There is also the Full Sail University in Florida which has certifications that can be done online or in-person, some of which are as short as 7-month certificate programs or more complete Bachelor's degree programs that take 20 months in person or 29 months online.
