Are there online clubs for remote college students?
My college doesn't have any remote clubs. Should I join a online group instead of a club?

Hi Genevieve,
Yes! Joining an online club or group could be very beneficial! There are many different forums you can participate in, I suggest researching what groups/clubs are available that align with your major/degree of interest. This could provide you with some additional experience and exposure that could be helpful in the future! Also - I suggest looking at different volunteer activities you can do online too!

Hello Genevieve, thank you for your question. Yes, there are clubs and online activities for students who are interested in joining a club or join one of the athletic teams. I'm sure if you look on your school's website, you'll find something you are interested in. I was and online students as well, so I do understand the need to connect with your peers. Best of luck
Thank you!

Hi Genevieve! This is a great question and I'm so glad to hear that you are looking to join some virtual groups/clubs! They can be extremely valuable in connecting with others whose personal and/or career goals and interests align with yours :) I would definitely suggest searching on LinkedIn to see if there are virtual groups that match what you are looking for! Online groups are also a great way to start building your network and creating professional relationships. This will help tremendously down the line when you're looking for a career opportunity post-graduation. Best of luck and I hope this helps!
Awesome! Thank you!

Hi Genevieve,
It's so great to get out of your comfort zone and join a group or forum(s) of interest The Web makes it so easy to reach out and find an activity that resonates with you. I would recommend making a list of what you enjoy, what you're interested in and what is related to the field of study you are majoring in and then start your search from there. Colleges/Universities usually have forums for their students to connect. You might be able to network and leverage information from a community of students that you already have something in common with.
Good Luck Genevieve. You're already on the right track.

Hi Genevieve! to add to the already suggested advice, I would recommend finding such groups on LinkedIn, MeetUps, and Zooniverse. Zooniverse Team has some cool project opportunities in real cutting-edge research solving in many fields across science, humanities and more that you can partake from any part of the world
