Is it possible to get underwater welding scholarships?

After getting certifications in welding is it possible to earn a scholarship to be brought onto a program that offers underwater welding coarse and certifications? If possible how so?

I'm not sure but I would imagine so. There was a guy in my college welding class that went on to underwater welding courses on the east coast and that's what he does now.

Hello Ezra, thank you for your question. I do believe you can receive some sort of grant or scholarship; I know you have to have your certification in order to apply. If they don't offer it the welding school, you have attended then I would suggest you go online and search the government website. Go to the city website and see if they are hiring for welding workers if you can work for a city project there is usually federal money involved. Lastly the federal government has grants that you don't have to pay back, Best of luck
