I've reviewed thousands of resumes as someone who has been in recruiting over 15 years and I can tell you that for the corporate roles I've recruited for its more about the big picture. Do you have a higher GPA that makes you stand out, were you involved on campus in formal activates like sports or clubs, what kind of leadership projects have you taken on? The name of the school is not something that gets one candidate further than the next. Perhaps it helps for leadership level roles where an MBA is required but it is a level playing field in the companies I've worked for whether your in marketing, communications, finance, sales, claims, etc. Good luck to you!

For me personally, when I review resumes, I concentrate on what a candidate can bring to us as a whole, rather than focusing on the specific school/college/university they have attended. I think for many companies nowadays, we are trying to diversify our workforce, so it's important to not restrict ourselves to specific school/college/universities. Best of luck!

As mentioned above, it's really just about your first application/job out of college. For me, it wasn't the fact that I had the university on my resume, but that my university was one of the universities (out of 10-15 universities in the USA) where a top tech company sent recruiters to hire graduating students. So it opened up the opportunity.
Other than that example, I would say that your accomplishments related to the field you are applying to are more important than the university you go to. Experience that you can show through things like internships, jobs, projects, research, etc that is related to the company/position you are applying to is way more important!

It does depend on the field, but can be a major part in the beginning of your career. When I was contacting large consulting firms I was told that if you want to work for top firms that are difficult to work for, many of the time the separating factor is if you went to a top 20 school and if you did an internship with the company previously.

Depends on your field. Most corporate jobs like tech or admin management care a bit for your first application but afterwards it really comes down to your experience, skill, and personality(people skills). Id assume things like theater and fashion play more heavily in where you went to college though as it is more based around prestige and what big names work for that college
