Indira’s Answer

Upon finishing High School you can start at a community college and then transfer to a 4 year college. Then in order to see patients you will need at least a master degree in Mental Health counseling.
As a Psychologist you will be able to:
1. be a Mental Health Counselor, for this you will need a Master Degree. You will be able to see patients and advice in different areas of counseling. However, you will not be able to prescribe medications; psychiatrist do that.
2. continue to study and obtain a Doctorate of Psychology, you can be a clinical psychologist or do research.

Sefa’s Answer

You need to study Psychology in a college for around 4 years. After that you need to gain some counselling experience either in the industry or you can choose to do a master's degree in clinical psychology.

Regarding whether it is hard, nothing is difficult if you like it enough, but only you can decide on whether or not you like it enough.

James’s Answer

To become a psychologist you will need to complete a four-year college degree. You will be ahead of the game if that degree is in psychology. Next, you will need a Master's degree in Psychology and a Ph.D. Some colleges may allow you to combine your Master's degree and Ph. D into one program. Getting a Ph. D. is "very" expensive. You may want to get a Master's in Social Work instead.
