Absolutely!
There is definitely a huge requirement for Computer Science Engineers/Software programmers/developers in tech companies. But one needs to have a sophisticated set of skills to qualify for these positions primarily because the positions require people to work on complex projects and continuously learn new technologies/tools/programming languages.
Would suggest that you connect and network with people working in tech companies to get more insights on their experience, their typical day at work, skill sets etc. and identify is that is where your passion lies and you can see yourself in that position long term

There are so many that you dont even need to worry about it. Just focus on becoming good at it. There is so much you can do in Computer science from Mobile apps development to Artificial Intelligence to Good old websites development etc etc etc. The best part is , almost EVERY organization in the world needs someone with Computer Science knowledge...from a small school to an actual computer software development company and everything in between! There are no bounds to what you can do with Computers. They are needed in every field of life. And the future is looking like it will be filled with Technological advancements.
So fire away. Find what you love in computers and get better at it. Good luck!

Corp America needs software developers in all fields, whether it is CRM, Social Media, EV, Cloud Computing or Financial field - there are not enough qualified engineers available today.
You would not get a job just because you completed your Computer Sc degree, you need high GPA and have to pass the test offered by the employers. Nowadays most prospective employers give test to the candidates before offering interviews.
Net: you will make amount of money and will never have to worry about finding another employment

In the US and globally, cybersecurity is dramatically understaffed and the industry is growing continuously.
You need to understand the basics of programming, networks, and computer system devices. There are tons of specialties.

The short answer is yes.

There are hundreds of thousands of unfilled positions. However, competent candidates are getting harder to find.

If you become good in your skills and knowledge, it shouldn't be too difficult to find an organization that would be a great fit for you, no matter which area of computer science you are interested in.
