Nirakar’s Answer

The most appropriate course to pursue would be a BTech (Bachelor of Technology)/MCA in computer science engineering or a related field, like information technology. You may also consider other degree programes like BCA (Bachelor of Computer Application).

Geoffrey’s Answer

Thank you for asking. There are three road maps you can follow to become a software developer/engineer (In addition to what Nirakar Rauta has said).
i) Pursuing a related course in a University/College (Easier, takes long).
ii) Attending a coding boot-camp, start building projects, then learn on the job (Demanding, takes short).
iii) Self-study - Online courses, YouTube, etc,. (Requires a lot of determination and discipline).

No matter which path you choose, discipline and consistency is the key. PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE

Michael’s Answer

Hello! I hope you're doing well. I appreciate your excellent question, and just like others have mentioned, it's crucial for you to acquire the necessary education to become a software engineer. A four-year degree will significantly assist you in pursuing this dream. The industry has become increasingly competitive, making it essential for you to obtain the appropriate education.

Moreover, earning a degree can also pave the way for better-paying opportunities and career advancement once you start working. In short, the skills you gain will make you highly sought-after in the job market.

In addition to a degree, I strongly recommend that you begin exploring free online classes about programming languages. There's no need to spend money on this, as numerous free resources are available online, such as YouTube and LinkedIn. These platforms can help you gain a solid understanding of the industry and establish a strong foundation before diving in.

Lastly, while not strictly an educational requirement, it's incredibly important to have a passion for your chosen field.

Wishing you all the best,
Michael P.
