Biomedical Engineers or a clinical laboratory scientist (CLS) or medical technologist (MT) are the ones who are a blend of both Engineering and Medical fields. They are responsible for designing and creating artificial organs, devices, software and other equipment used in healthcare. Also, they diagnose medical problems and replace body parts.
Aspirants must have passed 10+2 with Science and must have a bachelor's degree such as B.Tech (4 years) Biomedical Engineering, B.Sc (3 years) Biomedical Engineering or in other related courses.

Some universities offer bachelor of science (B.S.) degrees in Biomedical Engineering which are four year programs similar to other engineering majors. I hope this helps answer your question.
