Are there good online bachelor degree programs for Animal Science/Pet-Veterinary?
I'm currently a sophomore in college, majoring in history but I would also like to study Animal Health and Behavior without having to worry about travel

Regarding online bachelor degree programs for Animal Science/Pet-Veterinary Nov 2022
Kamaria, Perform a few searches using this as your search phrase: online bachelor degree programs for Animal Science/Pet-Veterinary, also search using the search phrase: online bachelor degree programs for Animal Science/Animal Behavior
Look at the Drexel University website.

https://degrees.unity.edu/online-animal-science-combo
https://lp.pennfoster.edu/ppc/online-career-courses
This is for a vet tech program. A vet tech degree and work experience plus more college, and maybe a master's degree, and more work experience can be stepping stones toward your goal.
NOTES:
Even while you are majoring in history, watch for and read about: the history of animal use, the history of animal behavior research, the history of veterinary medicine, the history of veterinary technology careers, the history of the (ongoing) research of understanding the basis of animal diseases, and the history of diagnostic test developments in veterinary medicine.
You can accomplish part of your degree program online but please understand a lot of animal work, vet med work, and animal sci courses must be hands-on/experience/live animal labs. So, please be thinking about and searching also for a campus where you can gain the necessary animal experience. Strive to gain experience with a variety of animals in a variety of settings.
Applying to and being accepted at vet school is very, very competitive. It is combination of really high grades, great graduate school test scores required by some vet schools, and evidence of a lot of animal experience in different settings.
Have you spoken with anyone in the admissions office/student support/career advising offices at University of Georgia (or similar...are there state colleges/community colleges in GA?) about your interest and ask for helping finding some solutions there in-state and also there in the southeast, such as NC or SC?
Best wishes!

Thank you so much for the advice!
Yes I have spoken to admissions counselors for the vet programs I'm interested in, and I am looking at some local vet clinics to see if they have any openings for volunteers. I would just like to make sure that I will be able to get all of the prerequisite courses out of the way.

Hi Kamaria,
For your question, I think you will be required to take additional undergraduate science courses such as biology and chemistry to prepare you for veterinary school. You also need to apply to and be accepted to veterinary school.
