Where should I send my tech resume to?
I wonder what companies can accept resumes for computer engineering like IBM, HP, Dell, etc.

Hi Samuel,
1. You can check out for jobs under each company you like under their careers site, search what you are looking for and apply. Applying directly on their sites helps you to be seen by the Recruiting and hiring team and chances are great if you qualify for the position.
2. Check out Tech jobs on LinkedIn -https://www.linkedin.com/jobs/search/?currentJobId=3364528407&keywords=software%20engineer&refresh=true
3. Check out this link for popular job boards you can apply as well -https://careersidekick.com/best-tech-job-boards/
4. Finally, create a LinkedIn profile and upload your resume by choosing "open to work" under preferences.
Any other questions, please feel free to post them. Best!!

Too many companies to probably list. I would suggest thinking about the industry, space, problems, culture, product you want to be a part > research the companies within these areas > and begin targeting them.

Hi Samuel,
The companies you mentioned are but a very small subset of companies that hire computer engineering. In addition to LinkedIn that Rama Chakravarthy mentioned, I would encourage you to search in job search engine like indeed.com or other and look at the companies that hire people in this domain.
Also ask your school because they usually work with companies and may be able to extend your list.

Hello Samuel. If you find a company or a position you are interested in applying for, I would recommend trying to get a referral from someone who already works at the company. When using a referral do not submit your resume on their website as a first step. The person referring you will usually send you a special link to submit your information. Referrals count for a lot to get an interview.
If you don't know someone that works at the company you are interested in, then you can leverage social networking to build out how many people you know. You will make contacts once you start working, but you can also meet people and develop relationships at school and at professional groups. Depending on your career area you can usually search for local meetups where other professional meet to just talk and get to know others. You never know when someone you've met and made an impression on might reach out to you for a career opportunity.

Hi Samuel! Remember most companies have a Technology division and are always looking for talent. Start by finding top 10 companies you'd like to work for and begin following them via LinkedIn to see what jobs they have open and what they are looking for. Also, target Technology based recruiting firms who you can have as an additional resource in your job search. Best of luck.

- I recommend googling/checking out resources like "best places to work" online (for example → https://www.greatplacetowork.com/best-workplaces/technology/2022).
- LinkedIn is also a great resource to find new job in the tech space :)
- Glassdoor is great for reviews on culture, salary, etc.
- levels.fyi is also a great resource for salaries
