I believe it will depend on the University you attend. However, I think most of your vet specific courses will be in graduate school. I have worked with students who get degrees in Biology and then go on to Veterinary School. Take a look at some graduate schools you might be interested to see if they mention a specific degree that is recommended. I found this information: https://www.umass.edu/veterinary-animal-sciences/undergraduate/animal-science-major/changing-your-major-to-animal-science-or-pre-veterinary-science-1#:~:text=Since%20most%20pre%2Dveterinary%20students,biochemistry%2C%20microbiology%2C%20zoology). that might be useful! Some schools may have an Animal Sciences or Zoology major as well.

Jordie recommends the following next steps:

Research graduate Veterinary programs
Research undergraduate universities with Animal Sciences or Zoology degrees

In order to become a veterinarian, you need to go to and graduate from a school of veterinary medicine, which is a graduate degree after pursuing an undergraduate education. In undergrad, you don't need to have a specific major in order to be accepted at a veterinary school, but there are required classes that you would need to take in order to apply to and potentially be accepted as a student.
