Job’s Answer

Being a lawyer takes a lot of hard work and research. It depends on which field of law you take or specialize in as to what your workload is like. In the beginning as an associate attorney at a law firm you will work 60 to 80 hours a week. How's the trial attorney for major corporate lawsuits for 20 years and eventually I hated it and retired. I am now a land manager for a large solar developer

Kieran’s Answer

I am a family lawyer - this area of the law is often emotional for clients but I find it rewarding to help people during a difficult time they can be facing like a divorce for example. I also like being a lawyer because even if you deal with the same type of case (like divorces) - every situation is different and you are constantly learning, especially when you encounter new or unique legal issues or changes in the law. Other areas of the law may not be as heavily involved with client interactions like family law, such as preparing contracts or other transactional work. You may have to experience different areas to see what you enjoy the most.
