Job’s Answer
I graduated from Stanford when I was 20 with a degree in economics. I then got a job on Wall Street working on the floor of the New York stock exchange. I became a broker at 22 and thought I was happy.
When I was 23.5 years old I realized I hated where I was and I was no longer motivated by the money.
At 23 I started law School at Lewis and Clark law School and I decided to study real estate and taxation for investment purposes. Unfortunately the summer when I was 27 3 weeks before the bar exam I got in a very bad car racing accident and had to wait 6 months to take the bar. I became a subdivision and house developer in the meantime. My best friend and I started our own law firm as soon as we passed the bar I enjoy being a trial attorney land use real estate construction defect corporate lawsuits.
I practiced for 15 years and then I wouldn't open the mine. I'm now a land manager at a large utility scale solar developer okay how I posted

Hi Camela! Although I am personally not a lawyer my mom has experience in the area. She has worked as a paralegal since she was in her early twenties and just recently she has been talking about heading back to school to get her JD (Juris doctorate). She is 49 years old and both my brother and I are grown and in higher education. I have been nothing but supportive of her decision. Even in medicine I currently know student doctors in their fifties and sixties with grandchildren. I personally believe that it is never too late to become a doctor and continue your education in your chosen field.
Thank you for the advice.

I took off two years between college and law school so I was in my mid-twenties. But, I know a lot of people who had other careers and then went to law school later in life.
