Atul’s Answer

I suggest you go to your twp police station and ask to seek info/guidance about their lives as a police officer.
Everything you want to know you will hear from someone who does it everyday.
Other choice is to visit your state’s police academy in person.

Blaine’s Answer

No, you do not need a degree to become a police officer. If you’re looking for an easy career don’t consider being in law enforcement. It’s the most difficult, thankless job there is.

James’s Answer

You could possibly be faced with scenarios where it is literally you between the public and some extremely dangerous individuals. You might have to do things that go against your morals. You might have to take a life. It's possible. This is not easy.

Kenneth’s Answer

While you don’t need a degree for law enforcement, there are some degree programs for the field which can help jumpstart your career.

With that said; being a law enforcement officer is not for the feint of heart. You are called to help people on their worst days. Not every call is simple or straightforward. You’ll have to be good with your words and when those fail you may have to use force or even deadly force to stop violent crime. While you should strive to be respectful and courteous to all it is inevitable that at some point you will have to use force to save someone or yourself. It is not an easy job.
