Hi Stephanie,
Great question! Criminal psychology, also referred to as criminological psychology, is the study of the views, thoughts, intentions, actions and reactions of criminals and suspects. It is a subfield of criminology and applied psychology. While criminal psychology focuses on criminal behavior, forensic psychology includes criminal and civil law, work in prisons, at-risk youth counseling, and academic research. Forensic psychology requires the assessment of a wide array of people, including victims of crime, witnesses, attorneys, and law enforcement. First decide which appeals to you most. I see that you're from Mass, and your state has some excellent universities for your course of study both at the undergrag. and graduate levels. The best advice I can give you is to speak with a guidance counselor at your high school. Get some information regarding financial aid, college is expensive! Good luck.
