Hi Devin!

Realistically, the salary of an artist is about your experience. Many of the best artists in different fields (Painting, Concept/Visual Development, Graphic Design) have their own competitive ranges. The best salaries are around 80k, however the salary of artists are harder to track due to the some artists being self-employed.

I think it’s best for you to explore what field you’d truly enjoy sacrificing a lot of time for. Companies like to see your endless and unique ability to create, and also your ability to manage your time and work well. Hope this helps.

Hi Devin :)

As a creative myself, I can tell you that art is a hard path, because it is really unpredictable, some artists gain fame and money really fast, another can´t achieve nothing in life, look Van Gogh, Reveron, and many others greats artists who can´t make it, you need to be persistent, developpe your talent, study hard, read a lot about history, culture, see movies, theather, see the news,be open mind, because everything could be an inspiration for your work...besides I think that Art is not just a career, is a way of see the life, the relationships, the world, culture, yourself...everything...so when you choose to study Art, is Art who chooses you, and you live your life to the fullest because you are making what you love, and eventually you could earn money with that...so if you chooses Art to make money it is the wrong path for you...
