What happens?

I can't really decide what I want to do. I love basketball and would like to play but I also want back up plan like if basketball doesn't go well. I don't want to be a trainer. I like art, interior decorating and traveling. I need to know what to do to find out what I'm really interested in.

Thank you comment icon You play basketball, but what have you done to test your other interests? Try the other interests out! See which one you see in your future. If basketball isn't what you want in a career, you can still do it as a hobby. Intramurals, rec leagues, or playing for college is always an option. Kayla Mys

Thank you for your question. I am glad to know that you are interested in basketball.
Below are my suggestions :
1. Think about what you have interest and your favorite subjects and identify your related career
E.g. If you have interest in basketball, would still like to work in Sports industry, e.g. sports journalist, sports brand product development or marketing, etc.
Similarly, if you like travel, would you like to be travel guide, travel journalist, work in hospitality industry, etc.
2. Find our more on these careers and determine what you have interest
3. Speak to someone who works in these career. You can also seek guidance from your mentor, school career counsellor, your parents, etc.
4. Shortlist 1-2 career you would like to pursue
5. Explore the entry criteria of relevant subject in the college
Hope this helps! Good Luck!
