Rabail’s Answer

Firstly, make up your mind, ask if this is all you want to do ? Is it what makes you happy ? If yes, Focus. Focus on your mistakes, appreciate your little progress. As practice makes a man perfect and there is nothing impossible.
Good luck

Your challenge in professional football is that being good is not enough, neither is being 'very good.' Instead, you must be excellent in HS, and also in college. You will need to stand out from your entire college team as exceptional to get pro scouts to see you. To reach that level, you need to make football your focus year round. Read about it, take any available summer football camps, build your strength to your desired position as there are different physical and skill requirements for different roles. Talk to your coach about your desires and seek his insight and suggestions for you, as he sees you on the field and can give advice not available from others. All the best in this pursuit.

Elizabeth’s Answer

In addition to the answers above, I would say take care of your body. Making your sport into your job does take a toll on the body. Many great athletes have potential, but end up with career ending injuries before they have a chance to make it to the pros. All too often I have seen elite athletes make the mistake of over focusing on skills, film, practice, and workouts. While these things are important, if you don't also focus on sleep, nutrition, stretching/active recovery, mental health, and coping skills you likely won't have as long or prosperous of a career as you hope.
