First it's never too late for school or education. Never become complacent. 2nd after covid tuition may have gone up but usually Jr College or local state schools will be cheaper.

Hi! I'm in the US so no input on the tuition question but for your second inquiry around returning to education after a long gap, I believe there is a benefit to having that amount of time in between under grad and continuing ed. You've had time in the work place to gain experience and learn what you like, but also what you don't like. Take that in to consideration as you decide what you want to go back to school for. I had a mentor tell me that the best thing I could do if I went back to school was to do something more specialized as opposed to a general post graduate degree. For example, instead of an MBA, get a specialized MBA in a subject matter that you enjoy. You have the experience and insight to know more of where you would like to be in the future after you've gained some life experience so you can use that to get a degree in the area you want to be in which could set you apart from your peers when looking for future employment. Also consider how you want to go back to school. Do you want to go full time, part time, in person, online? There are numerous options and also numerous tuition reimbursement programs through the workforce or payment plans to consider pending what your financial situation is. Start researching on the web via articles and even youtube, there are plenty of folks out there going through the same things that have documented their process to help others just like you. Consider programs that have stats to support their students getting job offers after taking their program also. Make sure and ask your network too! You probably already know people who have gone through this process in some way shape or form that would be happy to provide advice and insight that they learned during their process. Best of luck!!

Well, you don't really have any control over what a school charges. So you can't make the tuition lower

However, many employers offer an education subsidy. My employer will give employees varying amounts every year, depending on the program they are enrolled in. Of course, there are caveats - you have to have been an employee for at least 6 months, you have to get at least a "C", etc. If you are employed, check with your HR department and see if they offer anything.

Beyond that, you can look for scholarships and grants. You can get loans to help pay the fees now, but those have to be paid back over time, so they technically don't reduce the amount you owe. In fact, due to interest, they can increase it, but it's spread over time so it's easier to manage.

Continuing education after a gap of several years can be challenging, but it is definitely possible. Take some time to evaluate your existing skills, knowledge, and experience. This can help you identify the areas you need to work on and the courses or programs that might be best suited to your needs. There are many options for continuing education, including community colleges, online programs, and traditional universities. Research these options to find the one that best fits your needs, goals, and budget. If it has been a long time since you were in school, it may be helpful to take a refresher course to help you get back into the swing of things. Many universities and community colleges offer these types of courses. If you are unsure about which courses or programs to take, speak to an academic advisor. They can help you determine the best route to take based on your skills, interests, and goals. As for your second question, it is possible to obtain a low tuition fee university in Canada. Many universities in Canada offer scholarships and bursaries to help students pay for their education. Check with the universities you are interested in to see what options are available. Community colleges in Canada offer affordable tuition fees and can be a great option for students looking to continue their education. Many universities in Canada offer online programs, which can be more affordable than traditional on-campus programs. If you are unable to attend school full-time, consider part-time study. This can be a great
