The quickest way to get a food-service business started these days is to purchase a food truck, and obtain the business license, and health department certifications required to operate it. Then you'll need a place to park it. This is tricky because it is illegal in most places. Look for events like "Food Truck Fridays" and network with local businesses to leverage your food and foot traffic for parking-lot space. You'll also need a prep kitchen. It's illegal to prep at home as it cannot be inspected by the health. department.
The great thing about food trucks is that anyone who can get a small business loan, or come up with a very reasonable amount of funds, can have one.
Hope this helps!

Owning a restaurant is a common goal . That said, don’t until you have
1. Educated yourself and know in and outs of business. Most restaurants fail very quickly due to no idea on how to operate a business.
2. Work every position in a restaurant. Never open a restaurant until you can do every job in a restaurant. When you can fill in for any position when necessary your staff will work twice as hard as they know you can do there job.
3. Spend time under a mentor or leader who has been successful at what you are looking to do. Ask questions. Learn
4. Approach smartly. For instance, are you a great chef and understand business? Maybe consider starting your own private chef business to ease into owning. I use 1099 servers and assistants as needed. I’ve had restaurants. Owning a private chef business allows me to work when I want to. Not have to pay for restaurant rent, bills, labor, insurance and so on. I charge my guest for my servers and such so I don’t have employee insurance and expenses. Owning a restaurant opening aside people fail to have enough money to operate. Should you go the route draw up a business plan, know how much you will need to start and have seven plus months of money put away ( honestly over a year) so you can build your brand and not worry about how you eat tomorrow
