Thank you for your question. I am glad to hear that you are interested in Culinary Arts and would like to run your own business.
Below are my suggestions :
1. Take relevant courses on culinary arts and management courses
2. Explore intern opportunities working in the industry
3. After your graduation, work in the industry for some time to :
- Understand business model
- Establish people network, e.g. suppliers, etc.
- Save funding for the start up
4. If possible, start online service first. Otherwise, start in small scale.
Hope this helps! Good Luck!

The quickest way to get a food-service business started these days is to purchase a food truck, and obtain the business license, and health department certifications required to operate it. Then you'll need a place to park it. This is tricky because it is illegal in most places. Look for events like "Food Truck Fridays" and network with local businesses to leverage your food and foot traffic for parking-lot space. You'll also need a prep kitchen. It's illegal to prep at home as it cannot be inspected by the health. department.
The great thing about food trucks is that anyone who can get a small business loan, or come up with a very reasonable amount of funds, can have one.
Hope this helps!
