Ryan’s Answer

Hi Yili,

Many business owners and entrepreneurs will tell you it's the most complex and challenging aspect of a business (the startup phase). The statistics of startups are not in your favor. So, let's consider a different way to measure besides the difficulty level.

Starting your own business can be challenging, and it requires a lot of effort and dedication. Some of the steps you need to take to start your own business include developing a business plan, securing financing, choosing a business structure, registering your business, obtaining any necessary licenses and permits, and developing a marketing strategy.

Running your own business can also be difficult to maintain, as it requires you to wear many different hats, from managing finances to marketing to customer service. You'll need to be prepared to work long hours and make sacrifices, especially in the early stages of your business.

However, starting your own business also has its rewards. It allows you to be your own boss, pursue your passions, and have greater control over your career and financial future. It can also provide a sense of fulfillment and accomplishment as you build something from the ground up.

Remember, if you're not building your own dream, you're helping someone else build theirs.

Believe in yourself and your abilities, and surround yourself with positive and supportive people who believe in you as well. Be open to feedback and willing to make changes as you go along. Embrace the challenges and keep pushing forward, knowing that with hard work and perseverance, you can achieve anything you set your mind to.

Remember that starting a business is not just about making money or achieving success, but also about making a positive impact on the world and contributing to something greater than yourself. So, dream big, stay focused, and never give up on your passion and vision.

Gloria’s Answer

Starting a business take a lot of work and consistency. If you are confident in your ability to start a business, it is better to start now. First I suggest you to develop a niche. What is that you want your audience to benefit from? Is the business online retailer or in store? Develop a plan to go from there and know what your business is about, then start. Starting a business is full time work. Good luck . e

Rebecca’s Answer

Thank you for your question. I am glad to hear that you would like to be entrepreneur.
Have your thought about what industry you would like to start your business?
Below are my suggestions :
1. Think about the industry you have interest or you have strength on for your business
2. Analyze the business, e.g. entry criteria, market competition, any substitutes / alternatives, etc.
3. Study the industry related courses and management courses
4. Work in the industry for some time to understand the business model and establish people network
5. Start the business online if possible
Having said that, you have to review the business Profit & Loss, business model, etc. regularly and make adjustment. Also, you have to attend the industry related seminars to keep yourself up to date.
Hope this helps! Good Luck!

Antoinette’s Answer

Realistically, yes it is hard! It doesn't mean you shouldn't start your own business. It does mean it requires total dedication with lots of investment not just financially.

You will need to recognize your strengths and weakness, build a team that trust and support you, and be prepared to continue getting up when you fall along the pathway to success.

Antoinette recommends the following next steps:

Do research on the type of business you want to build.
Connect and network with people who are successfully doing what you want to do.
Dont be afraid to do what someone else is doing. You and your approach are unique.

LaTerricka’s Answer

It is honestly only as hard as you make it. For example I know I do not like to wait for certain things but had to find my patience when it came to starting my business because these things take time. Not everything revolves around what I am trying to do and that was probably the hardest thing to learn and act upon. So just be patient and use the resources available to you. Things get a lot easier when you have like minded people around doing the same thing so you both can learn and grow together. One good way to do so is to join groups on social media for small businesses. They usually offer a lot of gems, support and can help with upcoming events that could also be helpful to you.

Yes and no . Be very detailed and organized is a major key factor. Also consider taking it in steps . Do not jump into it all in once. Try setting up sections with categories within your business. Also consider not putting in all your money in one category.
