There are so many ways you can finance your college education, and I am sure there are many professionals out there who can give you more advice, but I will let you know how I did it.
1. The best thing you can do is apply to scholarships. A great way to search for applicable scholarships is through the Scholly app or website.
2. Financial Aid, if applicable you can apply for a certain amount of financial aid/ student loans.
3. Get a job after college that helps pay down student debt. I recently joined PwC which offers a student loan repayment program and each month they help pay towards my student loans.
Im not saying this is the best way to do it, but I did it this way and feel pretty comfortable. You can also always get a campus job that pays, or contributes to your tuition every year.
Hope this helps, best of luck!

Hey Chase -- The answer above is great advice. I'd just add a few others:
1. The Ultimate Book of Scholarships could be a good source. You might find it used online or at your local library.
2. This site looks very comprehensive: http://www.collegescholarships.org/scholarships/student-books.htm
3. Typically, your high school will have a person or team helping with the college admissions process. Seek them out even if you're not a senior yet. They're usually fairly helpful.
Finally, the process can seem so overwhelming that you put off starting it ever. That's okay, just break out it down into smaller blocks and chip away at them with small weekly/monthly goals. For example, maybe you first try to identify five scholarships for which you could qualify. Then you could aim to apply to 1-2 per week. And so on. Remember, you probably won't find one scholarship that pays for everything; rather you're looking to get several or more that amount to 000s each.
In the end, it's definitely possible to find scholarships. They're plenty out there. Just need to have hustle and stick-to-it-iveness.
Good luck!
Matt
PS Several friends in college did ROTC. In return for getting 100% of their tuition paid, they served several years after graduation. Some relatives have enlisted in the armed services right out of high school and then plan to attend college receiving a full ride. Finally, the service academies are tuition free in exchange, of course, for several years of service after graduation. All of these are great options.

The best way to get money for college is getting a job, you can set aside money every month and set goals to achieve. Another way to get money for college is going to community school and transferring out to a state school which is typically cheaper than a private school .
