When should you begin the college application process?
I'm a senior in high school and up till now I haven't really begun the college process. I want to become a NICU nurse so I don't know when I should start to apply especially since I'll be having a surgery October 9th. My school doesn't have a guidance counselor so the students are pretty much doing things on their own. #nursing #nurse #college #college-admissions #college-applications

I would like to say congrats on inquiring about your college process and have a speedy recovery. First, you should look up the deadlines of every school that you are interested in attending. Next you should ask all your teachers for recommendations and give them enough time to fill them out. Some colleges will ask for a resume or a list of activities and awards you have received over the years or resume paper. Also check all the nursing school eligibility requirements: minimum high school cumulative grade point average (GPA), minimum ACT, and minimum SAT score. Most colleges require you take an admissions assessment exam. The most important thing is to stay on top of your deadlines. Good Luck!

Start as soon as you are able to. Although applications open long before they are due, it is crucial that you get an early start on apps since they are time consuming and you should give in depth answers to every question asked. I started late August/early October.
