A veterinary degree will be a graduate degree. The first step would be to pick a good undergraduate major that is relevant to veterinary medicine.

Likely the best undergraduate degree would be in zoology or animal biology. You can look at this site to get an idea of which universities offer this degree: http://colleges.startclass.com/d/o/Zoology_-_Animal-Biology

You may also want to look for what opportunities exist in zoos local to where you live. This will give you some experience and look good on your college admission applications.
