Sara Miller’s Answer
Mining
Oil and Gas
Federal and State government
To get more ideas about these fields, check out Colorado School of Mines, University of Wyoming, and programs at Missouri S&T (their mascot is the Miners). While you might not want to attend these schools, they have programs in these fields that can point you towards the type of training you might need and what fields students go into after graduating.
Also look into government research positions. I googled "federal geology jobs".
