Aaron’s Answer

There are also different career paths that you can take. You can use your writing skills to take on a role such as a bid writer, where you manage content to make a proposal for a customer. Combined with some project management skills, your writing skills will allow you to produce a proposal that flows and puts forward your companies capabilities.

99% of the large business-to-business organisations will employ bid writers and bid managers and depending on experience, you can earn a decent living and have a successful career do this.

Vernon’s Answer

Writers earn from $0 to millions depending on what they write, who buys it, or, if they're working for a journal or newspaper, not all that much. Most free-lance writers do editing on the side to help pay the bills. Unless you're another John Grisham and get EXTREMELY lucky too, don't expect to place that order for your Bentley anytime soon.

Like golfers, writers earn every nickel they make through hard work, practice, enduring frustration and patience.

Good luck.

Sheila’s Answer

Hi Elizabeth:

Technical Writers, also called technical communicators, prepare instruction manuals, how-to guides, journal articles, and other supporting documents to communicate complex and technical information more easily. They also develop, gather, and disseminate technical information through an organization’s communications channels.

The median annual wage for technical writers was $78,060 in May 2021. The median wage is the wage at which half the workers in an occupation earned more than that amount and half earned less. The lowest 10% earned less than $48,890, and the highest 10% earned more than $125,010.

Best of luck to you!

Jerin’s Answer

Hi Elizabeth,

It all depends on where you work , if its freelance then you are paid by a company like HubPage for the number of views per article , or if you work for a company then you get more pay but then you won't have complete freedom over what you wish to write.

You can start your own blog and make money as well .

Hope this helps.

Thanks
Jerin
