Hi Whiney!
I'm so glad you are interested in the medical field. It depends on what field you want to go into in the medical field as to where to start. If you want to be a nurse, your first steps is to inquire the training. Typically training starts at the certified nursing assistance role and your train under a register nurse. When I went through CNA training it was a weekend course but there are different options for your learning style. If you want to go into medical administration, you would start by taking medical billing and coding courses. Most of these courses start out as certificate courses, but, some offer advancement to get a degree. A degree looks great on a resume because it reflects how much knowledge you have attained regarding your chosen career path. There are also a ton of off hand course and tech fields you can go into as well. I would first establish what part of the medical field you want to work in, look at the training required, and talk to a school counselor about next steps on your chosen path.
Hope this helps and good luck!
