Jyothi’s Answer

A good college for agriculture is one that is in an area where there is a lot of agriculture production - farms ( CA has some great schools - U.C. Riverside, Merced, Davis, Cal Poly San Louis Obispo) or cheese manufacturing (University of Wisconsin). Agriculture is a wide field so it depends on what specifically you are looking for. You can start by exploring some volunteering opportunities.
When choosing a college it is important to consider other factors such as cost of education, % of students who graduate from the program and get jobs. So explore the specialities offered in the college and find the best fit based on the information you have. Once you are in the program you can explore by taking classes that you might not have considered previously.

Good luck with your journey of learning.

David’s Answer

Do your research. There are plenty of good colleges out there but not all focus on agriculture. Make sure that what ever school you decide to go to is an AG school. Louisiana State University A&G, Texas A&M for example. The "A" is for agriculture which will usually mean they have a large focus on that realm of study. Personally I go to LSU and even thou I'm not in the Agg program, I can still say it is quite impressive with the facilities on campus.
