I took the ACT, as well. I know it's not necessarily the answer you want to hear, but PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE. Take as many practice exams as possible and do a handful of practice questions whenever you have downtime. This test can be very daunting, but if you understand the way questions are framed and get used to answering them, you will definitely see an improved score. You got this!

Hi jessica N. I see that you posted this question a little while ago so I hope my answer to you (or others who may read this response) is still helpful.
I echo the previous comment provided. Some ways that can help you to PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE? There are no shortage of ACT practice workbooks and online testing tools. The key really becomes how much time you make and devote to doing the practice work. If you remember that the ACT (subject) is mostly a standardized test, then with practice you can begin to get a sense of the style of questions that get asked, in addition to learning the material that will help you get to the right answers.
I recall there being lots of memorization for the ACTs. So make space in that big brain of yours :). And best of luck!
