Moses’s Answer
For an associates degree it varies on the type of study; you may purse an AS in animal science, agribusiness, range management, and general agriculture. Many of these have a similar foundation of knowledge but branch out into more niche and specific knowledge. When I was studying for my AS in Agribusiness, many of my classes were conducive in helping create a foundation such as finances, economics ( specifically for certain agricultural commodities and their infrastructures), and communications. The actual knowledge and curriculum being taught was nothing extraordinarily convoluted since its all based on real world fact and experience.
With this in mind, what you feel passionate about in agriculture may influence how well you do, regardless of the other classes you will need to obtain that AS.

It all depends on what you want to do in agriculture. There is just about any job you can think of available working for agricultural companies from IT, supply chain, logistics, R&D, HR, etc.

Go take a look at the curriculum for a college like ABAC in Tifton, GA. They offer both Associates and Bachelors and have a wide variety of ag degrees. A lot of students work and take classes as the agricultural jobs are plentiful in South Georgia where the college is located.
