Anything is possible, of course. Like Many industries, fashion is cut throat. You have to know the right people and be in the right place at the right time. Landing a exclusive contract is very rare. My suggestion is to follow your dreams, but have a back up plan. I, for example, majored in Music and Computer Science. Music is my 1st love and will always be part of my life. I had some success in my band: indie record label, small regional tours, cut a few albums. However, it ultimately went no where and after you leave school, bills still need to be paid. What is that other thing that you can do while you pursue your dreams?

While it's less common for high fashion models to be shorter, it is indeed possible to have a successful modeling career at 5'5" or a similar height. Some shorter models have broken into the high fashion industry, and there's a demand for diverse body types and heights in today's fashion world. However, it's important to keep in mind that certain fashion houses and designers may have specific height requirements, especially for runway shows.
That said, many brands, magazines, and agencies are embracing inclusivity and seeking models of varying heights and body types to reflect a more diverse audience. So, if you aspire to be a high fashion model and are passionate about it, don't be discouraged by your height. Focus on building a strong portfolio, networking, and finding opportunities that align with your unique look and style.

Modeling is a job. One in which a person must be flexible and have a wide range as the work can vary tremendously and even stem into acting in commercials. To pinpoint high fashion modeling would be limiting and there is no way to generalize what clients are looking for as far as height, weight and other vitals. That being said, let's look at what goes into becoming a model.
You will need to have a set of photos of yourself. It would be good to have a real hard copy portfolio as well as something on line that clients can click and immediatly get an idea of what type of things you can model. They're all looking for an image they have in their mind, so it is impossible to say you must have certain features. Next, you will need experience which you can start out with on the local level. Research any fashion shows that may be happening in your community. You could even find a venue and produce fashion shows with like-minded friends. As you obtain experience, create a resume, but it will also help to take modeling lessons. You need to know how to move, convey expression, be photogenic, keep up with the latest clothing styles, have a wide range of looks . . . so it is more than just being short or tall, it depends on what they're looking for and they want someone who is prepared and comfortable and professional on a project.
It would be most advantageous for you to broaden your idea of modeling and not focus on the one form of high fashion modeling. There is such diverse work you can obtain. No doubt in every model's career, they've done high fashion at some level. Becoming a super model is simply chance. You need to assess why you want to be a model, the purpose behind it and that will motivate you and take you on the correct avenues.
Read casting notices requesting models. Get an idea of what clients are looking for and familiarize yourself with modeling agencies. Never pay an agency to sign with them. I hope this has helped but it's only the tip of the iceberg, there's lots of advice you will need along the way, specific and detailed advice. Feel free to ask additional questions and best wishes in your discoveries.
