Joe’s Answer

I do some basic how-to videos from my desk at work and find Camtasia Studio to be pretty handy. Not too expensive but has a lot of good basic features to build some basic videos.

Kevin’s Answer

Premiere, Avid, Final Cut are all used, depending on the school, company, etc. I would suggest that you try to get comfortable at a basic level with Adobe After Effects. Premiere and After Effects are made to work together and I would start with those two (both are heavy duty). Try to use your student status to get a discount on whatever program you decide to use. Good luck!

Charlie’s Answer

Premiere Pro and the other Adobe Cloud apps. In the film industry Avid is popular, but I have used it and still prefer Premiere.
