Hi Faith,
Communication is a great major. Being able to use your ability to work with a lot of people is a great skill. I would also try to find some other field/minor to go along with that will make you more marketable.
Cons, do not get locked into one corner. Be pliable.
Wish you the best.

Hello Faith!
A Pro of majoring in Communications is:
- You have a huge amount of options!
A Con of majoring in Communications is:
- You have a huge amount of options...
(Wait, what?)
There are many profitable fields within it, especially if you enjoy interacting and talking to people!
However, if you don't have an idea of field you want pursue by graduation, you may find a few problems with finding a job after college with the major.
When you enter your freshman year, you can take some introductory Communication courses and join a club/organization that involves public speaking (Forensics/Speech Team, Student Government, or a PR Club). That way, you can see if you like the major!
Then, if you do like your major, you can network, get relevant work experience, and do projects to help grow your skills.
Sending you the best as you decide on majoring in Communications :)

Thank you and I agree there are a lot of job options with this major. during your journey with this major did you find It difficult to figure out what job you wanted to pursue?

Hey Faith! While I did not declare this major, I know that college students find it hard to select a job all the time. The feeling of difficulty is very common, outside of Communications majors, among other majors :)
