I studied Electrical Engineering and loved it.
What I found was that it was not enough to offer real value in the real world.
I did some additional courses in business management and accounting.
This is where the real value started to unfold.
Key Message: Having great worker skills on its own won't make your rich. You need to attain the right mindset and network with the right people to showcase your talents by addressing the real world business needs using your value added services you can offer.

Hi there!
Another good networking tool is LinkedIn. If you don't have a LinkedIn account, I encourage you to get one. There too, you can start building your network.

Abdoulaye, if there is a chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) in your area then I suggest that you join and attend as many events as possible. Take the opportunity to meet as many professional engineers as possible and let them know of your desire to secure an internship. Most engineers will welcome interaction with students and a few will be anxious to help mentor you and will likely be able to let you know the best firms to apply for internships. All the best.
Thank you!
