NETWORK, NETWORK, NETWORK....I can't say it enough. Go to events held in the genre you wanna work in, make friends, DON'T PUSH YOURSELF ON NOONE. Just make connections and friends in your area and it will come. Sometimes it will take awhile but word of mouth and a good product will also be known.

Great question! Google it, or ask one you know. Or go on social media and ask someone who is a music producer.
My guess is that a large portion of their success is due to good networking. Get to know lots of people. Have a good reputation for good work ethic and skills in producing music. Work well with others.

Hey Christine, do you have any networking tips?

Represent yourself well. Try to strike a balance between humble confidence. Be kind. Be hard working. Think not just about yourself. Dress well. Shake hands and look in the eye. Don’t be on your phone all the time. Remember stuff about people so when you see them you can ask about it. Participate in events that have people you should know. Choose friends wisely (not just for promotion but people with similar goals and work ethic and not someone who will make you look bad).
